School has been keeping me busy along with a nasty virus. Mapping continues, extended down to Marali bridge. I may upload a rough version to Filefront soon. If you'd like to contribute take a look at the readme that will be implemented with the rough version.

You've probably heard by now that I have been mapping the areas around Mirith. The furthest south/southeast piece of data is in Welif and the furthest north/northeast is the stream newar Foehan. I have been planning to extend it toward Lerilin but that is still to come. Anyway, it is very tedious but I can already see it coming together which, if not anything else, keeps me moving to completion. I use Photoshop 7.0 to edit and pasted pieces of mini-map screenshots into a large 11.5 mb file. I'm estimating it to be around 20 megabytes when it is completed.

My greatest challenge will be areas around Marali since it is so diluted with giants and whatnot...that is still a ways away. If you'd like to submit mini-map screenshots of areas outside of the areas I have discovered I would love to see them. I'm looking for areas around the Lerilin continent and from the Marali bridge and southward of it.

I was thinking about that today while I was wandering around Mirith at about 12:00 p.m. There seemed to be no one in the city itself...I hear the server can only hold a hundred or so people comfortably. So, is it possible to be the only person online in Oberin? Yes, but quite unlikely given its temperate popularity.
